Week 9 - EMILY’S GARAGE BAND HIGHLIGHTS HENNIKER SERIES – AUGUST 8

Best band ever! Covers Tower of Power, Rick James, Al Green, Prince, and more. That’s what one recent audience member said of Emily’s Garage Band, a 9-piece Manchester based horn heavy band upon hearing them for the first time. Emily’s Garage Band is NH’s nostalgia pop, funk and dance band featuring a full horn section and the one and only Bruce Smith on vocals. They will keep it going on the dance floor all night. So get yourself over to Community Park and the Angela Robinson Bandstand for their show, beginning at 6:30 PM.

The Henniker Summer Music Series is presented by the town of Henniker and tonight’s sponsor "89 Donuts, LLC (Dunkin') which is proud to be a part of the community in Henniker since 2008 and takes pride in providing the best in coffees, espressos, baked goods and sandwiches 7 days a week! Rain, snow, mud or sun, we have what you need to start your day off and keep it going. Henniker Runs on Dunkin'."

All concerts are free (although donations are welcome), begin at 6:30 PM and take place at the Angela Robinson Bandstand at Community Park, Main Street. Should there be inclement weather, the concert will move indoors to the adjacent Community Center. Stake out a space, bring a chair, spread a blanket, visit a local restaurant, have a picnic supper on the lawn or try some of the fare from the night’s featured Food Vendor: Taco Beyondo, Hillsboro’s award-winning Mexican Restaurant.
