Week 2, DANCING MADLY BACKWARDS INTO HENNIKER June 20th

Dancing Madly Backwards

YES, Dancing Madly Backwards is the name of the band making its first appearance at
the Angela Robinson Bandstand as the 2023 Henniker Summer Concert Series swings
into full gear on Tuesday, June 20, 6:30 PM Community Park, Henniker.

The group, from Rochester, NH, is a New England classic rockabilly-like band that can
play just about anything: alternative to modern, rhythm and blues all the way back to
pop. With Louie Booker Goodwin, the ageless local legend on bass, his talented son on
lead guitar, a multi-instrumentalist playing keyboard and rhythm guitar, and a rock-solid
drummer to keep the groove and all four sharing the vocals, they are able to keep
audiences captivated all night long. They are a 1970’s rock machine with a modern twist!
Band Members include: Louie Booker Goodwin: Bass Guitar; Nathan “The Man” Mann:
Piano, Keyboards, Rhythm Guitar; Avery “Animal” Stuart, Drums, Percussion and Lewis
“Grasshopper” Goodwin: Lead Guitar, Saxophone.

The Henniker Summer Music Series is presented by the town of Henniker and tonight’s
co- sponsors: White Birch Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being
of the individuals and families they serve as well as having a positive impact on the
community and The Grazing Room at Colby Hill Inn which offers delicious food
prepared by Chef/Owner Bruce Barnes who has led all culinary operations at the World
Bank in Washington, DC and owned two successful East Village, NY restaurants.

All concerts are free (although donations are welcome), begin at 6:30 PM and take place at the
Angela Robinson Bandstand at Community Park, Main Street. Should there be inclement
weather, the concert will move indoors to the adjacent Community Center. Stake out a
space, bring a chair, spread a blanket, visit a local restaurant, have a picnic supper on the
lawn or try some of the fare from the night’s featured Food Vendor: Taco Beyondo,
Hillsboro’s award-winning Mexican Restaurant. Join your neighbors and friends in this
community-building event at our bandstand. The complete summer schedule and weekly
weather updates are available on the town of Henniker website: www.henniker.org and
