Azalea Park/Riverwalk Committee
Our Mission
The Azalea Park Riverwalk Committee formed as a result of the 2009 Community Profile meetings which concluded that improved access to the Contoocook River would be beneficial to the town’s future. Our mission is to restore the waterfront park that has played such a significant role in Henniker’s history. We seek to conserve this naturally beautiful area as a safe, year-round recreational and educational environment for residents, businesses, students and visitors. By improving park and river access from downtown and making a formal connection to recreational trails on both sides of the river, the park would better support the vitality of Henniker’s downtown economy and ensure the enjoyment, recreational use and care of the Park for generations to come.
