The Community Park is the front outside area of the Community Center on Main Street.  Peter Flynn, Town Administrator, oversees this area.  In 2006 Walter Robinson, as a tribute to his wife’s community commitment, donated The Angela Robinson Band Stand to the town.  The community park is a soothing retreat during the summer by the Summer Concert Series that will play at the bandstand during the months of June through August.

HISTORY:

The mission of Henniker’s Community Center is to support a common location where all generations from the town of Henniker can come together to play, learn, and grow to build a stronger community.

The conception of The Henniker Community Center began as a gracious gift from the Masons, an organization, who are major founders of the Schriner’s Burn Center in Boston, Massachusetts.  With the gift of this building and the funds from the trust of Edna Dean Procter, left to the town of Henniker, we were able to renovate the building.

Our society is moving at an unprecedented rate.  We are dealing with world conflicts and decisions that past generations have never faced.  We believe that together, as a community, we can enjoy activities and have fellowship that will provide an environment where we can all build strength in our togetherness and enhance healthy growth in our community.  Our current drive is to incorporate each and every available resource our community may have to offer so that we may realize our mission.  Through community education and recreation, health and wellness, arts and youth activities we invite all of Henniker to invest in a happier, healthier tomorrow.
