Henniker Youth Athletic Committee
Purpose
The Henniker Youth Athletic Committee is a town-based organization whose mission is to provide rewarding athletic opportunities for Henniker youth. Children participating in our programs will experience a positive environment focused on learning the rules, skills and strategies of the sport, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. Henniker’s approach to athletics ensures that every child has the opportunity to participate regardless of ability to play (i.e., skill level) or pay (i.e., there are no participation fees like those required of private teams and leagues*).
The committee currently sponsors programs throughout the year for the following sports:
* Programs such as John Stark United Soccer, John Stark Generals Football, and Henniker Youth Hockey are private organizations that are not funded or organized by the Town of Henniker.
Committee Members
The Henniker Youth Athletic Committee is a volunteer organization run by a board comprised of Henniker residents. This committee and its programs are not affiliated with or administered by the Henniker Community School. However, along with the town, Henniker Community School provides the facilities for our programs to use.

Henniker Athletics Code of Conduct
Practice/Game Guidelines
Practice is important, and attendance is required for children wishing to participate in whatever sport they are playing. It is only fair that all participants make an equal commitment to the team and that commitment includes attending practice. We recognize that it is difficult for a player to make it to every practice. If a player needs to miss practice, a prior notice and reasonable excuse are required.
Please refer to the following attachment for guidelines that provide the framework for practices and games in each Henniker athletic program. Please note that there will likely be occasional exceptions to these guidelines, and these exceptions require approval by the Henniker Athletic Committee prior to implementation.
