Business Roundtable to be held March 21, 2012

Henniker Economic Development Committee reaches out to local businesses – Business Roundtable Proposed.

In a proactive attempt to reach out to local commerce, the Henniker Economic Development Committee plans to initiate a business outreach program in order to personally hear from members of the Henniker business community.  The first phase of the project will involve hosting a Business Roundtable discussion, which will be held March 21, 2012 at New England College, Simon Center, Room at 5 PM.

The intent of the program is actively reach out to local businesses to gage their thoughts about the community.  The Committee is interested in the health of these businesses, if they have expansion plans, discuss any limitations that may exist and/or discover concerns that the business may have.  Staff from the State’s Division of Economic Development will be making a presentation, providing the State’s perspective on the economy.  The Committee urges local businesses to attend and provide valuable input and insight.  “The Committee is truly interested in hearing from the local commerce community and hopes this forum will provide the first steps needed to open a continued dialogue with area businesses,” said Mark Fougere, Henniker’s Town Planner.  Businesses that cannot make the forum are urged to contact the community and a one-on-one discussion can be arranged with members of the Committee.  For more information, please call Mark Fougere or Nicole Gage at 428-3221 x1.
