NEC TO CONDUCT EMERGENCY TRAINING EXERCISE
On Saturday, March 19, New England College and several local and state agencies will conduct an emergency training exercise designed to simulate an actual emergency situation. From 8:30 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m., staff members from the College and crews from Henniker Police, Henniker Fire and Rescue, and the New Hampshire National Guard 12th Civil Support Team will run through an emergency training scenario at the College that has been developed by the New Hampshire National Guard.
The exercise will address effective communication and coordination among the various emergency companies, and will require the active participation of safety and health professionals both at the College and from responding agencies. For the purposes of the emergency training exercise, a number of emergency vehicles will be brought to the New England College campus on March 19 to allow all responders an opportunity to conduct as accurate a run through as possible. Emergency vehicles will include fire and rescue apparatus, police vehicles, and the National Guard’s Mobile Analytical Suite and Mobile Command Center.
The emergency training exercise on March 19 will be coordinated by Bill Christiano, Director of Campus Safety at New England College. For questions or further information, please contact Bill Christiano at 603-428-2323.
