2012 Memorial Day Parade

The Town of Henniker’s annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10am (new time) on Monday May 28th. Come out and honor those who have passed away while in service to our great nation. The parade will kick off in front of the Henniker Community School before heading to the memorials at Town Hall, and ending at the Angela Robinson Bandstand. The annual Veterans Photo Display inside the Community Center building will be open to the public 9:30am-1pm. Please stop in to view this special display.

Ameriprise Financial will be holding their 3rd Annual Food Drive in their parking lot at 26 Western Avenue Henniker. Come to the parade and bring a canned good or personal care item to benefit the Henniker Food Panty to receive your "free" slice of pizza (courtesy of Western Avenue Pizzeria). As an alternative, buy a slice of pizza and Western Avenue Pizzeria will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Henniker Food Pantry.

Any Henniker resident who is a Veteran is encouraged to march in the parade. Rides are available. If you would like a ride, simply call Steve Burritt at (603) 545-5389. You can wear civilian clothes or uniform. To join, meet at the elementary school at 9:45 am for 10:00 kick-off.

After the parade, head on over to the baseball field at Town Hall for a Homerun Derby, sponsored by the Fundraising Subcommittee of the Henniker Athletic Committee for Youth. There will be activities for the kids, a bouncy house and the snack shack will be open.
