~ 25‑1. Fees.

    A.    The following fee list is adopted for the purpose of establishing fees for services of the Henniker Building Department.¹

    B.    Building permit fees will be based on total calculated square footage of usable area to include garages, breezeways

            and storage areas. Permit fees for new dwellings already include all fees for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.

Residential, single‑family (including manufactured housing)	Minimum fee $75 under 1,000 square feet or $0.08 per square foot
Commercial structures	Minimum fee $75 under 1,000 square feet or $0.08 per square foot
Minor commercial construction (definition of "minor" would be minimal electrical, no heat, no plumbing, etc.)	$50
Additions: residential, commercial, garages, decks, porches, breezeways, etc.	Minimum fee $25 under 600 square feet or $0.08 per square foot
Storage sheds (movable or fixed)	$25
Swimming Pools	$25
Fences	$25
Septic Systems	$25
Other alterations	$25
Demolitions	$25
Signs	$25

Any construction started without a permit is subject to a fine of $50.
